About The Park

Sullivan County Park and Lake contains a 468 acre lake constructed in 1968 for swimming, boating and fishing. The lake is well stocked with crappie and hybrid saugeye, as well as bass, bluegill and channel catfish. Water skiing is also very popular on lake Sullivan. What are you waiting for? The fish are jumping!

Sullivan County Park and Lake has 400 acres of land for camping as well as a 9-hole golf course. They offer everything from primitive camping to space for the most luxurious equipped motor home on the market today. If you need to get away from the everyday grind, Sullivan County Park and Lake is the place for you and your family.

About The Lake

Lake Sullivan was created for the purpose of flood control and conservation under Public Law 566. The 461-acre lake provides excellent water recreational opportunities. The adjacent 460-acre park provides a camping environment to enhance the use of the lake and offers alternative recreational activities.

The lake is stocked with Channel Catfish, Saugeye and Walleye. The lake also has bluegill, bass and crappie.

If you have ever dreamed of catching “the big one”, Sullivan Lake is the place for you. Pictured on the right is an 8 pound 3 ounce saugeye which was a state record landed in the Sullivan lake. Sullivan County is located on the western side of Indiana. The park is easily accessed from Highway 41 west of Sullivan. The park is located approximately 25 miles south of I 70, at Terre Haute, and one mile east of Sullivan on Picnic Drive.
